One was pretty & industrious / the other was ugly &lazy

Everyday she had to go spinning at the well

One day she cut her finger

She wanted to wash the spindle but then it fell into the well

The stepmother said that she has to fetch it out again !

She did what her stepmother told her

She took out all the loaves

One by one she dropped the apples until the last one

First she was scared but then the girl took courage

She shook the bed so well that the feathers flew around

Mother Hulda could understand her that she is missing her family

To going home the pretty & indoustrious girl had to go through a gate

Because she helped much she became a great gift for it

The idle girl did what her mother told her

The ugly girl didn‘t want to help the loaves

The girl didn‘t want to help the apple tree

As she knew the story from her sister she went to mother Hulda

She neitehr shook the bed for the feathers to fly about

As she wasn‘t doing anything she was sent back home

Then mother Hulda sent her back home

Mother Hulda gave her what she deserved
