Presentation transcript:

The inside assembly department is where the inside of the lighter is created.

As a new employee there are some important things you should know. Always be on time Be sure to punch in and out on time. Field all of your job related questions to your supervisor. Always wear the proper safety equipment. Clean your work station when you are finished. Learn about the hazardous materials in your department. Keep an eye on the bulletin boards for department job openings.

Safety Meetings Report to your designated meeting area at the beginning of your shift for a safety meeting. During a safety meeting your supervisor will provide you with some helpful daily safety tips as well as discuss the previous days statistics such as production, sales, and each departments productivity percentages.

Gain sharing Keep in mind that if you do well Zippo does well. When Zippo does well it shares its excess profits with the employees. Once a month there will be a gain sharing meeting held and if the company goes over their estimated goal for that month a percentage will be divided up amongst the employees.

Enjoy your stay at Zippo. We look forward to working with you.
