Authority section Purpose section Explanation of terms Situations and Assumptions

An organization and assignment of responsibilities Directions and control Readiness levels A few items related to Administration and Support

Plan was designed to: Augment other districts Emergency Preparedness Plans. Ensure that districts comply with state and federal mandates. Includes forms and checklists districts must fill out. Provides districts with resources to create crisis plans. Head Start Emergency Preparedness Manual. (p. 155) Head Start Emergency Preparedness Manual. Practical Information on Crisis Planning. (p. 32) Practical Information on Crisis Planning.

Amount of work needed to ensure compliance of all districts. Region 9 staff must be diligent in reaching districts and ensuring proper forms are returned and attached. Does not provide an action plan for a Region wide event. Region 9 could create a plan for a Regional event or plan to help support districts in the event of a crisis.

I would use this plan a means to set up a Regional Crisis Management team. Districts could pool resources to help other in need. For example: Sending counselors or teachers to help other districts recover after a crisis. Provide a written plan for cities and counties to support each other in case of a catastrophic event. Creating groups of trained volunteers who are ready to help in case of an emergency in another county or district.

Mission Statement “To create a learning environment at Burkburnett High School that represents the expectations and needs of all stakeholders in the community.”

Conduct a needs assessment through interviews, questionnaires, and internet surveying of our stakeholders. Communicate purposefully and regularly with our stakeholders. Increase the number of stakeholders who actively participate in the education of our young people, either on campus or through other organizations whose purpose is to support and educate young people. Increase the graduation rate of our students at both four and five year marks.

"We desire to create a learning environment that provides all students the opportunity to succeed. To accomplish this requires our diligence in the development of an effective public relations plan that assesses the need of our community and adheres to what is known as best practice in education. In order to accomplish this we will...“ Maintain an effective ESL program. Encourage and grow community involvement and input. Maintain open lines of communication with all stakeholders. Continue productive relationships with community partners.
