Extemporaneous Speaking Speech with little or no preparation A speech that is delivered without being written word-for-word

Use the handout Mrs Fox has made for you (there is a link on my website…NOTES ABOUT ANIMAL SCIENCE CAREERS) to read about the different categories of careers in animal science. You will select 1 category of career and research the various jobs within the category (There are 6 broad categories) Your job….

You will develop a speech based on the information in this powerpoint. Every well planned speech includes research, planning and information about the topic. Your job is to develop a speech to a group of 8 th grade students to help them discover the broad possibilities of careers related to agriculture !

YOU CAN DO IT! No one enjoys speaking in front of others…This is an assignment that will hopefully help you and your classmates to overcome an obstacle and will help us to learn about the types of careers related to animal science.

Today…Please read the handout and select a category of career that appeals to you. Research the different careers that could apply to the category. You may use any of the information I have provided in the handout, but please research and add more info.
