ODE’s Vision:  All items will have a speech component presented through a screen reader  “Text to speech” business rules will be consistent with current Read-Aloud Accommodation guidelines  Text to speech will also be available to the general student population through OAKS Secure Browser (voice will vary based on computer’s native voice pack)

Remaining Questions:  How to ensure compatibility with Nemeth?  How to ensure compatibility with supported Refreshable Braille Displays?  What business rules to apply?

Things to note: For the same item, the material read aloud may differ between the general education Text to Speech and the Braille version.
