Position Depending Communication system (PDCS) Done by Thomas Lynge Supervisors John Aasted Sørensen & Kåre Jelling Kristoffersen. PDCS is a combination of Location Based Technologies (WLAN & Ekahau Position Engine) and Speech Technologies (Java Speech Api & IBM ViaVoice Engine). The whole system will be controlled by speech PDCS will provide the users with the shortest path from their physical location to a specific destination and guide them along that path.

Position Depending Communication system (PDCS) The user’s physical location will be provided by the Position Server, the specific Destination will be provided by the User as an input. PDCS is an Input Output system. Input: a Speech meaningful vocabulary (the Destination). Output: a Map and Synthesized speech with information about direction towards the destination. – The Output will be updated depending on the user’s position. –The user will be notified at the final destination

Position Depending Communication system (PDCS) The system will run in an Indoor Environment The system can run in many areas Schools (labs and classes). Hospitals (doctor’s offices) Supermarkets. As conclusion it is possible to build a Guide tour System at ITU using the available Location Based Technologies and Speech Technologies. PDCS was extended by Abed Alazem Saleh ”location based interactive information System” (LBISS).

Done by Emad El-Dean El-Akehal Supervisors John Aasted Sørensen & Kåre Jelling Kristoffersen. The system is a combination of Location Based Technologies (WLAN & Ekahau Position Engine) and Speech Technologies (recognizer built by Emad using Java Language). The whole system will be controlled by speech. User Authertication and Information Exchange By Speech and Location Information In Mobile System

The system will identify and authenticate the users by their voice (good way to avoid cheating). This identification will be used to filter the services to users (the provided services will depend on the user’s identity and location). The system will provide the users with: –Leaving and Getting messages in a specific location in a specific time. –Tracking other registered users and find their locations.

User Authertication and Information Exchange By Speech and Location Information In Mobile System The system is an Input Output system. Input: a speech (simple vocabulary for navigating). Messages (speech & text) Output: a text message or the users location (map). –the Output will be updated depending on the user’s position. The system will run in an Indoor Environment The system can run in many Areas Schools. Hospitals.

User Authertication and Information Exchange By Speech and Location Information In Mobile System & LBFE-S Emad’s thesis project can be extended by my thesis project ”Location Based File exchange Controlled By Speech” (LBFE-S). LBFE-S will enable the users to Download or to Upload files depending on their physical location and the current time. Users can Track other users and Leave and Get messages Moreover they can Upload and Download Files depending on physical location and the current time. The whole system will be controlled by speech.
