DIRECTIONS Poster Board

Purpose You and a partner will create a poster board that demonstrates a standard from one of the three units that have been assigned to you. The poster board has to follow the rubric to get the best grade.rubric After reviewing your poster board, a person should know the standard, the big idea, how to solve problems like it, and real world connections.

The Big Idea Will Include The Standard(s) that your poster board is about.  Be complete.  Be correct. What people will learn by looking at your poster. Connections to real world situations.

The Real World Application Will Include An explanation of how your standard happens in the real world.  The better & more detailed the explanation, the better the grade.  The more situations explained, the better the grade.  Your explanations should be complete & have good descriptions.

The Example Problem Will Include Written steps on how to solve the problem.  Make sure the steps are easy to understand.  All of the steps need to be recorded. Each step of the process answered accurately.  When you actually solve the problem, you need to make sure all parts of it are correct.

The Model Will Include A visual representation of how to solve the problem. The model can be a tool that you use to solve the problem.  Examples are: number line, tape diagrams, etc.

The Picture Will Include Details that are related to your real world problem.  The more details your picture shows from the problem, the better.

Aesthetic: Your Poster Board Needs to be neat and organized. Should not have anything missing. Needs to be properly labeled. Should be creative and good looking!  The more imagination & creativity your poster board has, the better your grade.
