20 FoNE Fundamentals of NanoElectronics 5 CRPs involving 27 research groups in 10 countries Budget is 5 Mio € over 4 years Molecular-scale electronics; quantum transport; Q-Dots; CNTs; magnetic nanostructures The scientific goal of FoNE is to understand quantum phenomena in semiconductors wires and dots, spin-polarized transport in hybrid nanostructures, and electron- dependent transport in single- molecules and carbon nanotubes (CNTs).
