Freshwater Biome Research By Morgan Cook

Freshwater Geography & Climate Location : Florida, Amazon River, Lakes in Russia. Description : A freshwater biome is in a location with plenty of minerals and nutrients. Soil type : The soil in a freshwater biome is deep, rich soil. Precipitation : Freshwater biomes have very little rainfall. Temperature range : 39F to 71F Climate : 39F to 71F

Freshwater Biodiversity Plant species- Grass, sedge, trees, spike rush, bull rush, pickerel weed, cattail, water lily. Frogs, crab, shrimp, turtles, tadpoles, beaver, fish, raccoon, possums, earthworms, manatees.

Freshwater Adaptations Needed for Survival Plants-Some aquatic plants have strong roots that keep them anchored securely, others have stems that bend with the movement of the water. Plants in still water float on top. Animals-Some animals need the movement of the water to survive. Some animals have suction-cups so they can hang onto rocks in fast moving water.

Freshwater Interactions of Biotic and Abiotic Biotic : The interactions of biotic is food webs with lots of animals. A biotic : The interactions of a biotic is the amount of rain helps the lake flood.

What is Biodiversity? Biodiversity is the amount of different plants and animals in an area. Biodiversity lets you see the interactions between different species.

How does biodiversity contribute to the sustainability of an ecosystem? Biodiversity contributes to the sustainability of an ecosystem by showing the amount of animals and plants. Also by the different habitats.
