Looking at your business another way © The Delos Partnership 2007 RICHARD WATKINS Since 1991 Richard has operated his own education and consulting firm, which specialises in the understanding and implementation of Integrated Enterprise Planning. As such he has helped many companies including Cray Valley (part of the Total Group), GlaxoSmithKline, British Nuclear Fuels Limited, GEC Marine-VSEL, Sandoz Pharmacuticals, Van Leer Metallizing, Cooper Bussmann, Rizla Ltd., Aventis, Quest International, and Levi Strauss EMEA. All of these companies have made significant gains in improving profitability and customer service through the implementation of the concepts supporting Integrated Enterprise Planning. In this he was associated with Mike Salmon’s Manufacturing Resource Planning Limited from , and with Oliver Wight associates from All of this was achieved through a mixture of Education and Consulting. Richard Watkins’ experience with Business Excellence in manufacturing industries started in 1986, when the ICI Agrochemicals’ Business (now Syngenta) started the first global implementation of an Integrated Supply Chain planning system. Richard was a member of the core Project Team that radically transformed the way the business operated, leading the Forecasting and Demand Management Task Force. This highly successful project led to a 20 % plus reduction in inventory, and service levels in excess of 95 % worldwide. All of this involved implementing a new way of forecasting and planning across the whole division around the world, which Richard led. This included the development of a global Integrated Enterprise Planning process, which enabled a monthly financial review of the business, and a long term strategic decision-making process. Richard joined the Project Team from the Product Management group, responsible for the development and marketing of new products into the Public Health and Agrochemical markets. Prior to joining ICI, Richard had gained an MBA from the London Business School; before this he had worked for Tube Investments Ltd, who manufactured Steel Tubes for the automotive, sports goods, nuclear and food processing industries. He gained his first degree in PPE from Oxford

Looking at your business another way © The Delos Partnership 2007 GILLES LAUGA Since 1989 Gilles Lauga has been running his own education and consulting firm, specialising in integrating all aspects of his client's enterprise. He has also helped many companies to be more effective, by balancing their efforts between lean and planning and control. His clients include ICI Agrochemicals, Astra-Zeneca, Salomon (part of the Addidas group), Legrand, Snecma Moteurs, Diamant-Boart, Arnould, De Dietrich Process Systems, Rosenmund, Snecma Propulsion Solide, Flowserve, Eldon. They all achieved great progress, especially in customer service and productivity. Many among them were recognised as reference sites among their peers. Gilles Lauga's experience with Excellence in Industrial Business started in 1980 when he joined the American group Norton (now part of Saint Gobain) in the Luxembourg based Construction Product Division. In 1989 he took responsibility for the 'High Velocity Manufacturing' project. This project merged Planning and Control aspects with Continuous Improvement and Integrated Enterprise Management. This project achieved Class A rating confirmed by outside audits two successive years and the business received the Norton Chairman's yearly award for it's project's exceptional results. Through previous investments and this project, manufacturing cycles were reduced from three months to less than three days. During the same period cost decreased and quality improved driving to major market share development. Before joining The Delos Partnership, Gilles Lauga spent ten years as an Oliver Wight Associate. All the above assignments were conducted through consulting and education mostly delivered through his company Gilles Lauga Conseil SARL. He helped companies gain experience in capturing and deploying Voice Of Customer for Strategy and for product development. He guided companies through 'Lean Programs' and conventional Continuous improvement. He guided clients in their Integrated Enterprise Planning process. He has worked in a wide variety of environments: chemical process, pharmacy, watchmaking, sport goods, heavy industrial equipments, airspace and defence. He helped the integration of development and manufacturing in heavy equipment and defence environments, enabling his clients to outrun competitors.
