Region - areas that have common characteristics Human characteristics Language, religion, political boundaries Physical characteristics Landforms, climate
Movement Goods – ship, train, truck, etc. People – boat, plane, car, etc. Ideas – books, newspaper, internet, TV, etc.
Human Environment Interaction Adapt to Environment A/C, clothing type, bridges Change Environment Buildings, roads, bridges, pollution Depend on Environment crops, fishing
Place - characteristics that make one place different than another Human characteristics – culture and man made objects ex: Great Wall of China, Statue of Liberty Physical characteristics – climate, landforms, flora, fauna ex: Great Barrier Reef, Grand Canyon
