Aims of the Session  Provide some guidance on how to best use your experience of Signature in an interview  Look at key transferrable aspects of Signature in your future classroom practice  Stay positive in relation to your future

‘Can Do’ Attitude  Removal of negativity and play to your strengths  Schools are becoming more diverse for a multitude of reasons

Model of Signature : Formal  Identify target pupils based on school’s information and data  Collaborate with SLT, class teachers and inform parents  Plan and implement a carefully tailored programme allowing for a degree of flexibility  Track progress and record relevant data  Critically evaluate effectiveness of the programme considering a range of factors

Model of Signature : Informal  Increased pupil confidence  Benefits of flexible working groups  Positive culture of learning  More effective collaboration within school  Better relationship with parents  Ability to engage better in ICT & e- learning  Extra curricular work – Adding value

Did you recognise anything about the last two slides entitled ‘Models of Signature’?

…but I only…  Taught small groups  Had experience in a socially deprived area  Worked with P6 & 7  Was based in several schools - a day at a time  Accentuate the positives at all times and in all situations

To conclude…  Eradicate ‘I only’ mind-set and begin to speak confidently ‘in the positive’.  You have been appointed to a position and worked through a very successful programme which was founded on quality indicators of effective practice.  This should be music to the ears of a selection panel at interview.  I wish you every success on the next stage of your journey in what is the most privileged vocation on the planet.
