THS Academy Information  Academies are smaller learning communities  Academies help students belong to a group  Academies direct students toward career options  Academies are supportive environments within the large high school  Students declare an academy choice for their sophomore year and may change one time.  Academies are elective driven

The Academies begin for the incoming 9 th graders of The student selects an academy in March Their diploma requires they include a choice of 2 Foreign languages OR 2 career tech classes OR 2 fine art classes Students receive a completer certificate and pin if they complete three of any of the above.( not require for graduation but great for applications). 9 TH grade students must complete PLAN OF STUDY before being placed in grade 10.
