Diagnostic Imaging Tests  MRI  CT  Ultrasound  PET scan  Mammography  X-ray

 An MRI scan is a radiology procedure that uses magnetism, radio waves, and a computer to produce images of body structures.

Computerized tomography is used to create cross-sectional images of structures of the body. Computerized tomography is used to create cross-sectional images of structures of the body.

 Ultrasound imaging is a method of obtaining images from inside the human body through the use of high-frequency sound waves.

A PET Scan (Positron Emission Tomography) is a procedure that produces transverse sectional images of the body.

X-ray is diagnostic imaging tool that uses ionizing radiation to image bones, soft tissue, and internal organs. X-ray is diagnostic imaging tool that uses ionizing radiation to image bones, soft tissue, and internal organs.

 Mammography is a specific type of imaging that uses a low-dose x-ray system for the examination of the breasts.

RadiologistUltrasonographer X-ray Technician

 A medical doctor that diagnoses diseases by obtaining and interpreting medical images.  To be a radiologist you have to have four years of college, four of medical school, and five years of residency.  The salary for a radiologist ranges from $250,000-$450,000 depending on what type of radiologist.
