New COE Model recommended Testing Department can be extended, customized and implemented in any department, practices or domains The new COE collaborates with Subject Matter Experts (SME) and Pre Sales Team in every domain ,subdomain ,platform, technology and process specific RFP of clients The Pre Sales Team constantly works with COE Department and communicates the demand for new solutions or customized services. E.g.: When there is a RFP for SOA Testing using Lisa in Agile methodology in Life Insurance, then Pre Sales Track Head for SOA Testing contacts the respective Track Head in COE Department to seek the appropriate the solution for the client’s requirement. The Track Head prepares the solution with the help of SMEs/Business Analysts in his team and gets an approval from Domain/Sub Domain Head before sharing it with the Pre Sales Team The COE is a mini R&D department within each domain and sub domain and involves all the employees to proactively contribute in solution preparation. The model speeds up the process of solution preparation, bidding and acquiring the customers/projects The model encourages all the employees to contribute their best from the expertise and experience what they possess with respect to domain/process/technology related innovations.

How it helps Pre Sales Team? Social Media Department shares the whitepapers on these Social Media Sites approved by the department in their network and it goes viral on the internet. We can reach the huge mass without spending too much on Marketing activities. The whitepapers or presentations will have Pre Sales/Sales Team Contact details. If anyone is interested, then they contact the Pre Sales Team The probable customer contacts Pre Sales/Sales Team to seek more details on the solutions The COE also encourages Education and Research Department in order to train the employees with latest technology/domain/process related case studies and thereby makes train programs much more practical and trainee is empowered to execute the project with much more confidence to best meet the client’s expectations and deliver value.

The overview of solution which is intended to share outside the company is to be shared with Social Media Department by the COE and Presales Department Social Media Department shall review the content of the artifacts to be shared outside the company and approve Leverage the power of social media networking sites for reaching a huge mass and popularizing our solutions without compromising on confidentiality policies of the company Each employee is encouraged to use professional sites like LinkedIn ,Slide Share etc.. to spread the word on the new solutions and services, innovation to the world Each employee is trained by the department to open Uniform Template Profiles in these Social Media Sites Each employee acts a Brand Ambassador and Spokes Person through these sites and helps in enhancing Brand Equity, Brand Values and Brand Promises. Each employee stands for Brand Personality or Brand Image of the company as he is known in his network

New COE Model – The Role of Employees Employees working in projects are mandated to contribute at least an hour in a week for COE Activity in their area of specialization Employees who are on bench shall default report to respective Track Heads and shall contribute at least 4 hours in a day Employee’s contribution should be recognized and considered for appraisals Innovation at each domain, sub domain - be in process, technology, platform must be an integral part of project and each project shall contribute to their respective tracks There should be a dedicated leadership which continuously drives and monitors COE activity across all the practices and ensures COE shall not run out of steam at any point of time This brings lot of value at an individual level, practice level and organization level Helps in Business Transformation and Value Creation for the company and it’s Clients Helps increase employee morale and enthusiasm to learn more and contribute more for our business. Also ensures building multi tasking capabilities and groom the resources. Assures emerge as domain specific/technology specific/process specific experts and consultants
