CVV/C When two vowels appear together in a word or syllable the first usually stands for its long sound, and the second is silent.

Two Vowels together first one does the talking, the second does the walking.

Types of sentences Commands A sentence that tells someone to do something is a commands. Exclamations A sentence that shows strong feelings is an exclamation.

COMMANDS Some commands begin with please. Commands usually end with periods.

EXCLAMATIONS Exclamations can express feelings such as surprise, anger or excitement. Exclamations end with an exclamation mark.
