Mission of the Office of Student Conduct The Office of Student Conduct provides educational opportunities that foster individual growth, ethical development and personal accountability while promoting the core values of the university: integrity, scholarship, community, creativity, and excellence.

Purpose of the Student Conduct Process Fair and Impartial Review Both Punitive & Educational Due Process Connect students to campus and community resources when necessary Provide students with the opportunity to become responsible members of the campus community

A simple case of Non-Compliance Student stopped by Campus Police for bad tail light Campus PD Initiate Standard procedure Ask for License & Registration Student does not produce the registration Student continues to question the officer Student non-compliant with officers request Incident spirals

When having a fake I.D goes wrong Campus police responding to a call indicating a disturbance 3-4 residents present in a room where alcohol is under a students bed All students are compliant One student has a fake i.d in their possession

Too Much Alcohol = Poor Decisions 3/18/2013 Incident Officers called to respond to an incident that involved an altercation 1st year student is belligerent and disrespectful when interacting with officers Officers discover student was in an altercation with a friend and punched the friends tooth out Student comes through the conduct process and is suspended Student violates terms of suspension
