Beginning in grade 5-10 (not grade 3 or 4), the number of points are listed after SA/ER questions on the OAT. For example: (2 points) (4 points) Once students see how many points a question is worth, then he/she sets up a 2-box or 4-box. Once the question is read entirely, students go back and underline performance verbs (see next two slides). SchoolWide Strategy- Box it!

2 point Short Answer Response Ex: In your Answer Document, give one example of how the incomplete data make it difficult for the students to draw conclusion about the changes that occur when baking soda reacts with vinegar. Explain how the incomplete data will affect the ability of other students to reproduce the experiement.
