Los pronombres directos e indirectos Español Tres

Basic Rules of Double Object Pronouns When writing sentences with double object pronouns, the Indirect object should be written before the direct object. When both the indirect object and the direct object start with "l," change the indirect object to se. le lo=se lo le la=se la le los=se los le las=se las les lo=se lo les la=se la les los=se los les las=se las

Double Object Pronouns with One Verb When there is one verb, write the indirect object and then the direct object before the verb. Ex.-I give the book to you. Yo te lo doy. Now, write the following sentences using double object pronouns: 1. Ella trae las revistas a la maestra. 2. Ellos dicen el secreto a ti. 3. Tú compras los regalos para ti.

Negative Sentences with Double Object Pronouns and One Verb When there is a negative sentence using one verb and double object pronouns, just write the word no before the indirect object. Ex-I don't give the book to you. Yo no te lo doy. Now, write the following sentences using double object pronouns: 1. Ella no trae las revistas a la maestra. 2. Ellos no dicen el secreto a ti. 3. Tú no compras los regalos para ti.

Double Object Pronouns with Two Verbs When there are two verbs together, you can attach first the indirect object and then the direct object to the end of the verb. Ex.-I need to give the book to you. Yo necesito dártelo. Note that when both the direct and indirect object are attached to the end of a second verb, there is an accent on the last syllable of the original infinitive. In addition, you could also write both the indirect and the direct object before the verb. Ex-Yo te lo necesito dar.

Double Object Pronouns with Two Verbs (cont). Now, write the following sentences using double object pronouns before the two verbs and attached to the end of the second verb with an accent if necessary. 1. Nosotros necesitamos pedir la tarea para los estudiantes. 2. Yo tengo que llamar a Luis para las chicas. 3. Vosotros queréis enviar las cartas a mí.

Negative Sentences with Double Object Pronouns and Two Verbs When there is a negative sentence with two verbs using double object pronouns, it can be written in the following two ways: 1. Write the word no before the indirect object. 2. Write the word no before the first verb and attach the indirect and direct objects to the end of the second verb (and add an accent on the third to last syllable if necessary). Ex-I don't need to give the book to you. Yo no te lo necesito dar. Yo no necesito dártelo.

Negative Sentences with DOPs and Two Verbs (cont). Now, write the following sentences using double object pronouns before the two verbs and attached to the end of the second verb with an accent if necessary. 1. Nosotros no necesitamos pedir la tarea para los estudiantes. 2. Yo no tengo que llamar a Luis para las chicas. 3. Vosotros no queréis enviar las cartas a mí.

Double Object Pronouns with the Progressive Tense When there is a sentence using the progressive tense, the double object pronouns are written in the same way as sentences that have two verbs in them except that when the pronouns are attached to the end of the present participle, the accent will go on the “a” in “ando,” or on the “e” in “iendo” or “yendo.” Ex.-You (form) are giving the book to him. Usted está dándoselo. Usted se lo está dando. Now, write the following sentences using double object pronouns in both ways: 1. Ustedes están cantando la canción a mí. 2. Yo estoy escribiendo las cartas a él. 3. Tú estás leyendo el periódico a nosotros. 4. Ellos están sirviendo los frijoles a nosotros.

Double Object Pronouns with Positive Tú Commands With a positive tú command, first attach the indirect object and then the direct object to the end of the command and add an accent four syllables back (unless the word is three syllables) Remember that a positive tú command is usually formed by just writing the él/ella/usted form of the verb in the present tense. Ex-Buy the book for me. Cómpramelo. Now write the following commands using double object pronouns. 1. Trae los libros al chico. 2. Prepara la cena para sus hijos. 3. Tira la pelota a ella.

Double Object Pronouns with Negative Tú Commands With negative tú commands, write the word no, then the indirect object, then the direct object, then the correct form of the verb. Remember that to form regular negative tú commands, you need to write the yo form of the verb with the opposite tú ending. Do NOT write an accent on negative tú commands. Exs-Don't bring it (m) to her. No se lo traigas. Don't sing it (f) to them. No se la cantes. Now, write the following negative commands using double object pronouns. 1. No digas el secreto a ellos. 2. No escribas la carta para nosotros. 3. No tires la pelota a tu hermano.

DOPs using Reflexive Pronouns and Direct Object Pronouns Sometimes using double object pronouns means using a reflexive pronoun with a direct object instead of an indirect object with a direct object. In this case, the reflexive pronoun would be written in the same position as the indirect object would usually be. Reflexive Pronouns: me, te, se, nos, os, se. Exs.-I take off the jacket (myself). Yo me la quito. We should buy the house for ourselves. Nosotros debemos comprárnosla. Nosotros nos la debemos comprar. Now, translate the following sentences into Spanish using reflexive pronouns and direct object pronouns. 1. I put on the shirt (myself). 2. He reads the book to himself. 3. You (inf) sing the song to yourself.
