A lesson plan for 2nd graders.

We’ll warm up with the alphabet

What is a homophones 

See our Sea board? Our language arts learning center theme will be; Ocean Study, our first project will be homophones and this wall will reinforce our ideas and the words we find while fishing.

See our homophone Sea? In Class Activities! We will have in class activities designed to help students understand the concept of homophones— two words that sound the same but have different spelling and meanings.

Book Making Our students will then create their own mini fish books that will contain the homophone words that they “catch” while playing our class room Sea game.
