What Virginia’s Operational Integration Cyber Center of Excellence (VOICCE) environment An environment that: - Simulates a city or community (municipality) - Tests cyber related events or impacts - Evaluates and assess current cyber processes and procedures - Supports National level organizations cyber capabilities development operational facility An operational facility that: - Hosts systems - Hosts technical expertise - Creates scenarios training facility A training facility to facilitate: - Experimentation - Structured evaluations - User workshops A “Municipal” Cyber Test Bed
Grant Background National Cyber Leap Year Objectives of Nation Cyber Leap Year: construction of a national research & technology agenda to ID the most promising ideas and brings them to fruition jumpstarting game- changing, multi-disciplinary development efforts Comprehensive National Cyber Initiative (CNCI) within Homeland Security Presidential Directive (HSPD)-23, developed by the Networking and Information Technology Research and Development (NITRD) Program Senior Steering Group (SSG) for Cybersecurity.
