American Money And Famous Presidents

George Washington First U.S. President Beat the British in the revolutionary war. Had wooden teeth!! On the 1 dollar bill and the quarter Or 25 cent coin.

Thomas Jefferson Third president of the United States Cared a lot about farmers Had many slaves. Is on the 5 cent coin the “nickel” And on the 2 dollar bill.

Benjamin Franklin A friend of George Washington and Thomas Jefferson. A famous scientist and inventor who invented a special kind of glasses. Is on the 100 dollar bill!!!

Alexander Hamilton It makes sense that Mr. Hamilton is on American money because it was him who said the American government should have a bank!! He liked the bank people, not the farmers like Thomas Jefferson. He was shot dead in a duel by Thomas Jefferson’s friend Aaron Burr!! He is on the 10 dollar bill.

Andrew Jackson The seventh president of America Jackson was in the army and fought the Indians. As president he made the Indians move to the west of America. He is on the 20 dollar bill.

Abraham Lincoln The sixteenth president of America Lincoln freed the slaves by fighting Americans who wanted to keep slaves. He was killed after the war by a man who didn’t like him because of the war. Is on the 1 cent coin and the 5 dollar bill.

Ulysses S. Grant The eighteenth president of America. Grant was a very important soldier . He helped President Lincoln win the war to free the slaves. Is on the 50 dollar bill.

FDR:Franklin Delano Roosevelt The 32nd president of America. Helped Americans to find jobs in the Great Depression of the 1930s. Helped America win World War 2 from 1941-1945. Is on the 10 cent coin or “dime.”

President John F. Kennedy The 35th president of America. Kennedy was shot dead in his car in 1963. He is on the half dollar or 50 cent coin.
