Safety Alert for Fire Drills Very quietly!!!!!! GO out the glass doors and walk on the school road toward the back field. Find your homeroom! Return to the art room, but stay out side the door until Mrs. M. gets there.

Safety Expectations Handle tools carefully as directed. Be aware that other students are using tools. Keep the knife caps on when not in use. Hold sharp tools facing the ground.

YIKES!!!!!!! Be sure to only use needle to sew. Keep hands away from blade on paper cutter. Wear shoes in the artroom or sneakers! Wear masks while spraying… Control your behavior! Work at your area in your seat. Keep your hands to yourself.

Tell Mrs. M. immediately if you cut yourself!! Always wash your hands before you leave class!

Behavior Expectations! Be thoughtful of others and yourself. Respect all people: teachers, students, visitors, staff members! Respect your surroundings, tools, supplies, projects. Pick up what falls to the ground. Handle tools carefully. Consider what you say out loud. Be courteous with each other. Say… “excuse me”, “thank you”, “may I borrow”. Dress appropriately.
