Training Strategy Implementation (TSI) Funding Jackie Taylor Skills for Care Contracts Manager

What does TSI Fund in Hertfordshire? NVQs in Social Care – any level Inductions – Common Induction Standards – Managers Induction – Learning Disability Qualification

How much funding will I get? TSI pays £65 per unit: – NVQ Level 2 = 6 units - £390 – NVQ Level 3 = 8 units - £520 – NVQ Level 4= 10 units - £650 – Inductions = 1 unit - £65 To claim you must complete TSI Partnership Forms and be accepted by Skills for Care – Includes completing your National Minimum Data Set for Social Care (NMDS-SC) information

NMDS-SC The NMDS-SC collects valuable information about the Social Care workforce across the country. Skills for Care use the data to inform strategic planning at national, regional and local levels – – Size of workforce – Age of workforce – No of volunteers – Level of trained staff – Identify gaps It can also be used as a workforce development tool by organisations who update their records.

To qualify for TSI Funding Register and update your NMDS-SC establishment records: – Current Investors in People status – Establishment type – Main and other services provided – Service users for whom services are provided – Service capacity and uptake level – Numbers of staff permanently and temporarily employed – Numbers of bank/pool, agency, student, voluntary and other staff – Numbers of staff leaving and starting in past 12 months – Numbers of vacancies – Reasons for leaving – Destination of leavers

Update your worker records to include 90% of your worker records – Gender – Date of birth – Nationality – Main job role – Other job roles (if applicable) – Start date (in main job) – Source of recruitment – Employment status – Contracted hours of work – Additional hours worked (if applicable) – Full-time or part-time – Working arrangements – Sickness absence – Salary – Date first employed in social care – Induction status – Qualifications held – National Insurance Number – Home postcode – Ethnic origin – Country of birth – Date of arrival in UK (if applicable) – Disability – Qualifications working towards REMEMBER TO SAVE YOUR DATA
