S ELF P ORTRAITS What is a portrait??????

PORTRAIT a likeness, especially of the face, as a painting, drawing, sculpture or photograph. Portraits show characteristics…..maybe color, texture, habits, hobbies, philosophies, physical appearance, and attitudes. Portraits can be of people, animals even some objects.

Self Portrait self portrait Artists often draw themselves. These reflect the characteristics of the artist. This is called a self portrait.

Self Portrait mirror self portrait A mirror or photo can be a tool when you make a self portrait.
