PORTRAITURE A portrait is a painting, photograph, sculpture, or other artistic representation of a person, in which the face and its expression is predominant. The intent is to display the likeness, personality, and even the mood of the person....

Project Brief: produce a self-portrait that explores an aspect of your personality, you may refer to your interests as inspiration, or aim to express a particular mood. You will need to visually research the artwork of at least three artists (the first artist is Pablo Picasso and should be completed for homework during the school holidays) who have painted portraits (they do not have to be self-portraits). Use the following presentation as a starting point, you will then need to research other examples of the the artists’ work. Also look at the following websites for contemporary Australian Portraiture;
