5 Themes of Geography Location- identifies a place’s position on Earth –Absolute location- measured by the grid lines-latitude & longitude –Relative location- place in relation to another. Places- looks for distinctive characteristics Regions- looks for features shared by places- vegetation, political, languages, religion, etc. Movement- examines the changing location of people, goods, and ideas Human/environment interaction- explores the interdependence of people and their surroundings.
