Description Unity College is located in Unity, Maine Compared to other private colleges, Unity is quite small having 12:1 student to teacher ratio It is 2 hours away from the best skiing of the northeast, 18 miles from Waterville and 20 miles from the beach The school is surrounded by mountains perfect for hiking and learning about nature

Academics The majority of Unity’s classes cater towards environmental education The 3 main majors that are pursued at Unity are Environmental Science, Natural Resource Management, and Outdoor Recreation Unity does offer many classes that are not environmentally pointed, such as photography, business, journalism and many more

Sports Men’s Intercollegiate Sports: Soccer, basketball and cross-country Women’s Intercollegiate Sports: Soccer, basketball, cross-country and volleyball The school also offers lacrosse, ice hockey, baseball, ultimate Frisbee, woodsmen, weightlifting, fitness, martial arts, and women’s softball

Unity College is a beautiful place with many opportunities to experience nature Unity also offers great programs and classes to learn not only about the environment but also photography, journalism and business I also chose Unity College because that is where I want to go to school
