Roles and Responsibilities of HSD WSH Committee Representatives

HSD Committee Members will:  Develop and maintain an effective and comprehensive safety program  Assist with the development and promotion of procedures to ensure the safety and health of all persons in the workplace  Recommend the development and promotion of education, information and training programs relating to safety and health

HSD Committee Members will:  Receive reports from workplace representatives in advance of each meeting  Review health and safety concerns reported by the workplaces  Assist in inspection of workplaces and identification of safety and health concerns

HSD Committee Members will:  Recommend solutions to health and safety concerns  Review reports concerning job hazards, accidents, inspection of facilities, and emergency procedures  Conduct investigations when workplace accidents occur
