In The Life Of A Graffiti Artist Theory Work By Cameron Russo

The Artwork The Artwork was made from programs and techniques such as: -Paint, to create the backgrounds you see in the Pivot animation scene’s. -Pivot, used to create the Pivot scenes. -Digital Camera along with a tripod to keep the camera stable. -Photoshop, to edit the photo’s used in the car chase scene. -Windows Movie Maker, to put all of the photo’s and footage taken together, and to add special effects to the scenes. -Plasticine, used to make the figures in the claymation scene. -City of Lights – Hilltop Hoods was the music used in the movie. This Is a picture take from the Pivot scene, with the background made with Paint.

Conceptual Framework World: -There were a few influences on the artist that contributed to the making of the art work, such as the graffiti work by “Cope”, an American graffiti artist. The idea of graffiti as an art not vandalism also influenced the artist. Audience: -The artist intended for this movie to appeal to a young audience, or an audience who is suspended in the lifestyle of graffiti/ gangs. Artist: -The ideas the artist had: The free running idea came from a movie his brother made a few years before. The graffiti idea was from the work done by “Cope” and the idea the graffiti is an art not vandalism. The BMX riding idea came from his brother and his BMX skills.

Frames Structural Frame: -The artist created his work using a digital camera, for the stop animation it was mounted on a tripod, for the real footage it was held in the artists hand. Once he finished capturing the footage, he uploaded it onto his computer and put it into Windows Movie Maker then edited it and put special effects into it. Cultural Frame: -The artwork resembles a youth culture of graffiti and a gang culture. Subjective Frame: -The Artist intended for the movie to have a feeling of suspense to it. Postmodern Frame: -What differs this artwork from a normal artwork are things such as: - The artwork is not viewed in a art gallery but rather on a computer. - The artwork was made on a computer using Windows Movie Maker and other programs.
