High School Task Force DECATUR PUBLIC SCHOOLS 02/03/2009

The Need Physical Needs Summary Many building systems are at the end of their useful lives (piping, windows, doors, heating/cooling equipment). Many components of the building envelope are beyond their useful life, particularly at EHS. Many interior finishes are worn and should be replaced (there are some hazardous materials consequences). There are opportunities for increased energy savings. Most spaces lack air conditioning. In addition to addressing these physical needs is the need to alter spaces to accommodate changing educational programs. DPS #61 High School Task Force
