Tempus project: Master programme in Applied Statistics MAS Workshop in Methodology for teaching Statistics, December 13, 2011

Tempus project "MAS" Project objective: To develop and implement a master curriculum in applied statistics in line with existing European study programmes and according to Bologna requirements. To organize a lifelong learning programme in applied statistics for professionals in different fields.

Duration: 3 years 15 October 2010 – 14. October 2013 Budget around Euro

Master programme in Applied Statistics  New curriculum is prepared at University of Novi Sad (master curriculum, 2 years)  Interdisciplinary study programme  It is implemented directly at the University (8 faculties are included in realization) within the Center for applied statistics  The programme passed the accreditation on 14. October 2011  The lectures start on 7. November 2011

New study programme Study program Applied statistics lasts two years (120 ECTS). It consists of four modules: biomedicine, economics, social sciences and engineering. In order to apply for the programme, a candidate should have completed the first stage of any academic studies with at least 180 ECTS points, to have basic knowledge in mathematics and computer science and to use English.

 The programme have got quota of 20 students on the budget of the state  + 5 students co-financing (during Tempus project duration NO co- financing students)

Entering exam (90 questions) 100 points in ranging: 10 (mark at previous study)+ 90 (success at the entering exam) 22 students passed the exam condition: 50% points at the exam
