Tarko 2.Introduction of participants – Signup sheets 3.Approval of the 2008 meeting minutes and the Subcommittee’s scope and goals Subcommittee’s name: ANB20(3) Surrogate Measures of Safety Subcommittee The Subcommittee’s goal is to stimulate research on surrogate measures of safety and their validation through field measurements, computer simulation, and driving simulators. A strong emphasis is put on a scientific rigor of the research and validity of the results. The Subcommittee will stimulate an interest in surrogate measures of safety and their use through development of synthesis of existing knowledge and available methods, development of guidelines, organization of workshops and special conference sessions, and sharing information at national and international levels.
