National Centre for Supporting Vocational and Continuing Education NCFSVCE Krajowy Ośrodek Wspierania Edukacji Zawodowej i Ustawicznej (KOWEZiU) POLAND

KOWEZiU - NCFSVACE is a central, public, national- level institution providing professional development services for teachers subject to the Ministry of National Education and Science. The mission of the Centre is to: inspire, prepare and coordinate activities related to professional development of teachers from vocational schools and schools for adults prepare and execute educational ventures related to the stages of educational transformation in Poland

The center audits the observance of quality criteria and standards in vocational training, according to the demands of the job market and the national education policy. On a national level, the center works closely with other state and civil society actors in vocational and continuing training. The duties of the National Center for Supporting Vocational and Continuing Training can be divided into the following fields of focus: vocational and continuing training, further training for teachers; career orientation; curriculum development and publicity work. The Centre also collects, processes and disseminates pedagogical information related to vocational and continuing education.

DEPARTMENT OF VOCATIONAL AND CONTINUING EDUCATION Recognizes and analyzes educational needs of teachers from vocational schools and schools for adults. Creates and develops systems of pedagogical information in the field of vocational and continuing education, creates databases and information banks. Inspires and coordinates activities aiming at improving the quality of vocational and continuing education. Cooperates with national partners in order to enhance the quality of vocational and continuing education. Compiles and publishes information and training resources as well as with promotes innovative activities.

Representant of NCFSVACE in the Project Elżbieta Hejłasz – from many years she was a techer in vocational school. As a Head of Curricula Department she has huge experience in formulation of vocational curricula. Thank you very much
