Problems and solutions Balázs Fekete – Vice President, Budapest Chamber of Commerce and Industry Main problems: - education system not in line with the needs of economy - vocational training in the past decades has devalued - in some areas shortage of skilled workers - in some areas excess supply Major objectives: - The training structure should accommodate the needs of the economy - The vocational training institution system should operate in a transparent, coordinated and cost-effective way - Promoting social inclusion - Help obtaining the state accredited first qualification - Full implementation of proper management of human resources (teachers, trainers)

LLG objectives Balázs Fekete – Vice President, Budapest Chamber of Commerce and Industry 1.The issue of career guidance must be developed equally important to all stakeholders. 2.The career guidance services are only possible to be regulated in relation to the whole educational-training-employment system 3.Public education act and act on vocational training (adult education) should show the content, responsibilities and other rules of tasks associated with career guidance services in a unified, coherent, sequential system 4.During elaboration of the regulations should rely on the already implemented local, European and international experience, studies.

Developments in the close future Balázs Fekete – Vice President, Budapest Chamber of Commerce and Industry -The National Career Guidance Portal (NPP) launched in late 2010, offers already a number of tools and content for both school-aged and adult career choices. -Improvement of this portal will be a key part of the second phase of the SROP "Development of the content and methodology of the career guidance system" project that is expected to start in the coming months. -Cooperation between National Employment Office and Hungarian Chamber of Commerce and Industry. -One of the major objectives: extension of toolkits special for elementary and secondary schools.
