WHAT DO GIRLS DO IN THE COOKIE CLUB? The Cookie Club is a website where girls can go online to… — Ask for orders online by sending eCards with an electronic order form to family and friends asking them to make a “cookie promise”. — Learn about the power of goal-setting — Set their goals — Track their progress toward their goals — Reach their goals — Plan whom they’ll ask and monitor that progress In the Cookie Club, girls have at their fingertips important tools they need to have a successful Cookie Season.

WHAT GIRLS WILL NOT DO IN THE COOKIE CLUB. - Girls will not accept payment for cookies online (Delivery and payment transaction must be done in person — see GSUSA guidelines) - Girls will not reveal personal information - Girls will not have open communications (only cookie orders along with Cookie Club supplied messages from a drop down menu can be received by the girl)

ABOUT SAFETY Girl Scout staff, parents and volunteers are justifiably cautious about girls using the internet. — The Cookie Club is a password-protected Web site. — A signed parent permission slip is required for girl participation. — Girls cannot access the Cookie Club features until they pass through the Safety Certification. — They must demonstrate their comprehension of online and cookie selling safety through an interactive feature. — She will receive a printable safety certificate with her first name and date as a keepsake. — Only cookie orders along with Cookie Club supplied messages from a drop down can be received by the girl. No personal information is ever revealed.

HOW DOES IT WORK? Girls want to join the Cookie Club! 1.The leader goes to the Cookie Club site to set up the troop account and passwords. 2.The leader gets permission from each girl’s parent or guardian and then gives girls their passwords. 3.Girls log on with their passwords. 4.Watch the fun begin and Cookie Sales soar!

LEARN ABOUT GOALS Cookie Club members will learn all about goal-setting: Why set a goal? What is a S.M.A.R.T. goal? What is a great personal learning goal?

SET YOUR GOAL Girls will review their troop goal, which was entered by the leader. — They will commit to doing their part to help reach the group’s goal. — They also can set a personal learning goal.

ASK FOR ORDERS ONLINE With Cookie Club, girls can quickly tap a large number of customers while learning technology skills. — Customers fill out an electronic order form ed from the girl and return “cookie promises” which appear automatically on your Cookie Club account page. — Cookie Club “promises” are recorded automatically in the girl’s Cookie Club account, where she can print her list of orders for parents to review and sign-off.

GETTING STARTED IS EASY The leader … — Collects the signed parent permission forms — Sets up the team account and passwords — Enters the troop goal The leader gives each girl her password. Now, the girl is ready to join the Cookie Club!
