 Girl Scout Outreach Project Sarah Yasi, Madison Allen, Autumn Holcomb, Alison Engelhardt, Krystal Salerno, Michael Iglesias

What are we planning to do?  Meet with different Girl Scout groups on Saturdays  Teach them a predetermined lesson plans based on age group to help girls earning STEM badges  Lessons on digital art, web design, photoshop, digital video production, etc.  Goal-Teach and encourage the girls to continue in STEM fields, while helping them earn badges.

Brownie  2-3 rd grade, 7-9 years old 1. Invite computer expert, Lynnsey Weissenberger 2. Paint or draw with an art program, Paint Pictionary 3. Talk about some definitions (files, download, etc.) 4. Use computers to search web and discuss internet 5. Create a trip online and travel guide to parents

Junior  4-5 th grade, 9-11 years old 1. Invite Digital Photographer, Lynnsey Weissenberger 2. Take girls outside to take pictures with cameras 3. Use software to edit photos 4. Make a digital photo project 5. Share pictures with family/friends

Cadette  6-8 th grade, years old 1. Invite Digital Movie Maker Expert 2. Learn digital video basics 3. Film based what the girls choose the subject to be 4. Edit movie 5. /share with family/friends

Ambassador  th grade, years old 1. Invite Website Designer, Geo Miller 2. Find subject for website or blog 3. Research platforms and figure out what they need 4. Create blueprint 5. Create content 6. Go live and then send link to others
