Moving Forward Continue to embed good practice in order to maintain and build on high standards and expectations. Increase the involvement of Leaders across the school in driving improvement in their subject throughout the school and then monitoring/evaluating the outcomes for evidence of the impact on the children’s learning. Continue to develop staff confidence and expertise. Aim to ensure that the teaching and learning experienced by our children is the best we can deliver.

Improving English Continue to address the gaps identified with the new curriculum - especially expectations for Spelling, Punctuation and Grammar. Introduce Story Telling skills across the school with the aim of improving speaking and listening and writing skills.

Improving Maths Continue to embed the new curriculum and address identified areas for development. Focus on Problem Solving and Reasoning- Puzzle Fridays Introduction of KIRFs Ensure consistency and effectiveness of marking and feedback in moving children’s learning forward

Homework – supporting and consolidating learning at home FOBS- getting involved in supporting the school Governor Coffee Mornings

Attendance 8.40 am Gates open Children enter school at 8.45am Registration closed by 8.50am (New electronic registration – focus on using early morning curriculum time effectively) Lateness recorded and monitored each term Attendance monitored each term Our focus is to ensure all time at school is efficiently used to support the breadth of teaching and learning required Catching up with missed learning is difficult within teachers planned cycle of teaching and learning Medical appointments outside of school hours/holiday leave unauthorised Persistent lateness and poor attendance can become a legal matter!
