Understand the impact spherical display systems have on learning earth system science in informal science education settings 4. Continue to grow a cohesive and collaborative network that is actively sharing information and content

Inform the future direction for the spherical display system program Inform NOAA on future investments in the spherical display program Identify and discuss major issues and best practices for applying spherical display systems in informal science education settings Prioritize technical improvements for Science On a Sphere Investigate options for docent training and quality control Provide feedback on the evolution of the virtual library

7 Content… 2. Determine the best format for content Provide feedback and guidance to newly funded content creation groups Establish guidelines for the production of SOS content Investigate potential future sources of content

8 Understand the Impact… 3. Understand the impact spherical display systems have on learning earth system science in informal science education settings Prepare for implementation of plans for assessment and evaluation at the program level Share best practices for evaluation of exhibits featuring spherical display systems at the institutional level Determine baseline information on use of sphere, audience demographics, and indirect outcomes

9 Cohesive and Collaborative Network… 4. Continue to grow a cohesive and collaborative network that is actively sharing information and content Assure that network members are aware of each other’s efforts and working together when possible View and learn about two existing installations in Hawai’i Determine the best structure for the network as it continues to grow and develop Determine a timeline and plan for future meetings
