Hi guys! This Is our group ’ s final Work! For this project ‘ Survival ’, we chose the topic “ Orphans ”

Nowadays, the life we are living ; going to international schools, having parents/ drivers to pick you up everyday; sleepovers every weekend, you never need to worry about how life will be the next day. we don’t even know how to build a shelter for survival, if there’s ever a orphan who tells you “they know about survival” trust me they really do. think of this we are sitting in the room watching avatar, but the kids out there in the orphanages, China. Probably they have never seen a television before, they would be so happy even if they get one new book. Look at the differences. They will think this is so unfair, why are we living in the two different kinds of worlds? Also, we chose this topic because we think this is really close to our society; (related to the A.O.Is : health & social education; community & service) We are also doing something that usually people don’t really pay attention to. They might think of this; why should we care about this? Those kids has nothing to do with us? How did the kids survive (emotionally) in a situation like that? And “ How can we help them”?

Education (How do they study; what do they study?) Health care (Do they Have health care)? How does the government help the orphans? How does the community help them? How do you adopt a child in China?

Additional Education Programs 1. Kindergarten prep prepares children who live in an orphanage for success in public school. 2. Tutoring services are provided to children who can attend public school 3. Tuition support provides children with the necessary funding to attend public schools. 4. College tuition is provided to orphaned and rural students who have passed college entrance exams, but have no means of funding their education. 5. Some of us have been to a orphanages in china, and we saw their classrooms, it was poor, broken wood chairs; without a heater.

In China, orphanages are organize by the local government so the kids are monitored by the government too until they (the kids) are adapt. Government: Welfare fund: Finance fund: Community: ( RMB per five years)

Adopting a child from China can be an exciting opportunity for your family, but you'll have many papers to file before the pitter- patter of little feet fills your home. The international adoption process is time- consuming, arduous and expensive - it can take 48 months or more and cost as much as $15,000 to $20,000 - but it's well worth the effort.

5. They have diseases or other health problems and are abandoned. 1. One child policy : people who cant afford this throw their child away not to pay extra money 2. Also, according to Chinese culture, they like males more and if they have girl, they just throw away 3. More girls in Chinese orphanages4. People can't afford them.
