 Famine- 1980’s farmers suffered from a decline in demand and prices  Poverty- 1980’s with high inflation and unemployment millions were living in poverty  Homeless rate skyrocketed

DRUG USE  Drug use became a problem during the late 1960’s  1980’s drug use began to spread into the small towns and country side
