 Wreak havoc on our immune systems  Causes cancer and diseases  If you accumulate a lot, it can be very harmful.

 77,000: chemicals are produced in North America  Over 3,000: chemicals added to our food supply  Over 10,000: chemical solvents, emulsifiers and preservatives used in food processing  1,000: new chemicals introduced each year

 Formaldehyde – cushions, adhesives for inexpensive wood-based products  Radon – can seep through tiny cracks into your house from soil or groundwater  Lead – paint in older houses, soil near highways and busy roads  Carbon monoxide – burning propane, butane oil  Arsenic – household pesticide, wood preservative  Vinyl chloride – “new car smell”  Hydrofluoric acid – rust remover  Solvents – aerosol spray products  Disinfectants - disinfectants, antiseptics, perfumes, mouthwashes, glues and air fresheners  Pesticides – older houses

 Roll up your window when driving.  Don’t smoke.  Buy organic (pesticide-free) and free-range produce.  Avoid processed foods.  Switch to natural cleaning products.  Avoid using artificial/synthetic fragrances.  Get plenty of safe sun exposure.  Limit your use of drugs.  For more info, check out: toxins.html
