Helios explains how he saw Ares and Aphrodite together in Hephaestus’ house. He then shares his plan to catch them in the act so that he can have proof to tell other gods. Aphrodite is the daughter of Dione and Zeus, and Ares is the son of Hera and Zeus. Part of Hephaestus’ plan was to create a trap made up of a net and chains to capture them as they lie down. After they were unable to free themselves, they were paralyzed from the weight of the chains. Mean while Hephaestus contacted several Gods to show them what he discovered.

Most of the Goddesses, except for those who were givers of good, stayed at home from modesty and left it up to the gods to answer Hephaestus’ calling. Once Poseidon saw what was taking place and why they were called there, he asked Hephaestus several times to set Aphrodite and Ares free. Finally after his many pleas, Hephaestus took the thought into consideration and decided to let them go. Immediately, both Aphrodite and Ares fled from the area and separated from each other.

“Once you make your bed you have to lie in it” Once you do something, you can’t undo it. Because Aphrodite is married to Hephaestus, she should not sleep with Ares. They create a situation that they could not get themselves out of. It is just plain mean to cheat on someone in their own house. If they didn’t want to get caught they should go to another place to sleep with each other.

“You chose your actions, but not your consequences” You may think you know what your getting yourself into, but nothing is for sure. Aphrodite chose to sleep with Ares, and vise versa, but they didn’t get to chose to get caught. Aphrodite and Ares did something that they shouldn’t have, but didn’t want to pay the price for what they did, that’s why they ran away.

 Net and Chains  There is no freedom, because they are hiding what they are doing. They are hiding because they are doing something that are no supposed to.  The Lover- Aphrodite  Aphrodite is the Goddesses of love. The definition of Lover is commitment, but that is not true in this case. She also is in a relationship with two people, which is what Lovers like, is a relationship.  The Sage- Hephaestus  Hephaestus seeks honesty, and doesn’t like it when people lie to him. He also had to find out for himself because he likes to be in control.  The Rebel and The explorer- Ares  Ares does what he wants, he likes power. He also likes freedom, which is not applicable in this case. He is escaping boredom my being in a relationship with a married women, which brings excitement.

 Red- Passionate and disorder & Heart- Love  All characters in the myth would sacrifice anything for love. Aphrodite and Ares sleeping together disorders all of the god, and the most important thing which is the marriage between Aphrodite and Hephaestus. Red also symbolizes the anger that he has against Aphrodite and Ares.  Violet- Advanced Spirituality & Skeleton- Mortality  All of the gods are not real average people, they can immortal and will never die. Also the gods and goddesses can move to anywhere they want to be.

And now for the video……
