Presentation transcript:

 The iPod is a portable music player developed by Apple Computer. Though it is an Apple product, the iPod can be used with both Macs and PCs.

To listen to MP3s on your computer, you'll need an MP3 player like Null soft Win amp (for Windows) or Apple iTunes (for Mac and Windows). Most MP3 players also allow you to create MP3 files from CD audio tracks or other from other audio file types.

On October 23, 2001 Steve jobs forever changed the course of media and entertainment distribution when he unveiled his creation, the Apple IPod.

The German company Fraunhofer- Gesellshaft developed MP3 technology and now licenses the patent rights to the audio compression technology - United States Patent 5,579,430 for a "digital encoding process".

The world’s best-selling music player has changed a lot from the time it got launched to the current period. The day it got launched in October 23, 2001 the whole world was amazed with this awesome Gizmo which was in a white color panel with 5Gb Memory Hard Disk to store up to 1000 songs along with the Revolutionary Click Wheel.

The 3rd Generation iPod Shuffle was launched in 2009 which was more small in size but bigger in length with no controls on the players because the earphones cable was going to handle that. It came with a feature called ‘Voiceover’ which would tell you the name of the track which is being placed and this is quite useful because there is no display to read the track names. Available in just 2 colors Black & silver it had a 4Gb memory capacity.

June 1980 start of mp3 players January 2000 MP3.com releases an upgraded version of My.MP3 service, allowing users to access their CD collections via the internet. The company creates a database of music by copying more than 80,000 CDs. The Recording Industry of America files suit, arguing that creation of the database violated copyrights.

 July 2000  Federal judge gives Napster three days to stop users from swapping copyrighted works. In an eleventh-hour reprieve, the 9th Circuit Court of Appeals overturns the ruling, setting up a court showdown.  October 2000  The recording industry's trial against Napster begins.  October 2000  The National Music Publishers' Association and MP3.com announce $30 million settlement allowing MP3.com to distribute more than 1 million commercial tracks via its My.MP3.com service.  October 2000  Bertelsmann A6, parent of BMG, drops its lawsuit against Napster and forms and alliance with the startup to develop a joint file-sharing music service

 The iPod is begin used as a entertainment player because its so much you can do on and IPod as in download games from iTunes and also video chat on some of the just depends on the generation you get.

The mp3 player is used as just a music playlist because its nothing much you can Do on mp3 player but jus listen to music

 You can download and listen to music you cant download games on mp3 players nor do you Get internet on some of them

These electronics has came along way From old generation to the 4G generation. thanks to the men who have created them Because without iPods are mp3 players You would either still be listening to music On your computer are either on a CD.
