Using Outline View Choose Outline from the task bar on the left.

Outline Tools Arrows help you navigate within the outline view Green arrows promote or demote text Blue arrows move text up or down

Slide View You are now ready to move into slide view Slide view allows you to: Apply a design Format slides Apply pictures, graphs, charts, etc Apply transitions Apply animations

Apply a Design Choose design from toolbar or Format menu to show Slide Design Templates Browse templates and click to choose one It will automatically be applied to all slides Choose only one design In PowerPoint, less is more!

Apply Objects Objects can easily be inserted into PowerPoint using the preformatted slide layout Click on the appropriate icon on your slide to insert Graphs Clipart Pictures Charts

Apply Transitions Transitions can enhance or detract from your slideshow Choose 1 transition and apply it to all slides

To apply a transition From the Slide Show menu choose Slide Transition. Choose an appropriate transition and modify it. Choose method to advance slide. The method you choose will depend on the purpose of your show.

Apply Animations This is always the last step Animations should be used only to enhance your presentation Some slides will have no animations
