Three Minute Thesis Competition (3MT) is a universally recognized competition which aims to assess the students’ capacity to communicate ideas effectively and enhance the development of academic and research communication skills. INTRODUCTION
1. Rules of Presentation -Only a single static PowerPoint slide is permitted -Presentations are limited to 3 minutes maximum and competitors exceeding 3 minutes are disqualified. -No notes reading is allowed. -No slide transitions, animations or 'movement' of any description are allowed. -No additional electronic media (e.g. sound and video files) are permitted. -No additional props or equipments (e.g. costumes, musical instruments, laboratory equipment.) are permitted. -Presentations are to be spoken word (eg. no poems, raps or songs). -Presentations are to commence from the stage. -Presentations are considered to have commenced when a presenter starts their presentation through either movement or speech (the bell will ring once) 3MT RULES AND REGULATIONS
2. Time Alert -Start: Bell rings once -30 seconds before time ends: Bell rings twice -End: Bell rings 3 times * Participants must stop right away as soon as the third bell rang. If not, disqualified. RULES AND REGULATIONS
