1. How many orphans? AIDS is a bigger killer than war in Africa. 13 million orphans will be left behind.

2. What fraction of infected people live in Africa? 2/3 of the world’s 31 million HIV infected people.

3. What percentage of the world’s orphans live in Africa? 90 Percent

4. What are two major causes of this problem? 1. Lack of AIDS Education. > More than ¼ of women did not know an effective way to avoid the disease. ** 30% believed that a healthy looking person could not be a carrier.
