A Great Mind Sir. Isaac Newton Born: December, Death: March, William Mccullar Fernando Garza Room B-153 June,

Birth Place Birth Place He was born in Woolsthorpe, England. He attended Grantham grammar school as a boy. Some of his early inventions were a small windmill and a sundial During his childhood he was more interested in making mechanical devices than in studying. He left school when he was only 14 to help his widowed mother manage her farm.

Career & Hobbies Newton was an astounding English astronomer, mathematician and scientist. He invented a new kind of mathematics, discovered the secret Newton was an astounding English astronomer, mathematician and scientist. He invented a new kind of mathematics, discovered the secret of light and color, and showed how the universe is held together. He also taught math at Cambridge university. And he also invented a new Kind of math called calculus. He also has a metric unit named after him.

Inventions & Theories His theory on gravity was what influenced Albert Einstein on most of his work. Some of his inventions included a small windmill that could grind corn and wheat. Also a water clock that was run by the force of dripping water. One of his great inventions was a telescope. that could grind corn and wheat. Also a water clock that was run by the force of dripping water. One of his great inventions was a telescope. Newtons’ discoveries include Theories on the law of gravity. Which states an object is pulled to the ground by a force which is gravity. Also another discovery was on the theory of motion. That is that an object that is in motion stays in motion till the force of gravity pulls it to the ground and eventually stops. He also wrote his own book which Is called “Principia” in english it translates to principal.

Yesterdays’ discoveries, In today’s life Newtons’ discoveries in astronomy has helped us see how small we really are compared to what we used to think. Also it has given a lot of individuals assistance on their own research based on his foundings His theories on gravity have embraced new ways of exploration. Which can give different outlooks that have let us people experience things that people of newtons’ time couldn’t even dream of Newton was a great scientist and he was someone that had influenced Albert Einstein on a few of his thoughts. Which brought on the theory of relativity.

What interested us The reasons My partner and I chose this great mind was because we have heard how he was very gifted and intelligent man. We didn’t know why this was so we wanted to research him and see what the fuss was about. Since we weren’t sure on why he was famous we had researched him and found out about how he has given bases on how we see things in today's life. Now that we know some of the facts we find him more interesting than we would've thought. The things that makes us most interested is his study of astronomy.

Interesting facts On January 11 th, 1672 Newton became a member of the Royal Society council and an associate of the French Academy. He became president of the Royal Society in 1703 and he was reelected annually till his death in Newton was a very modest man about his findings. He didn’t like the conflicts his works caused in the scientific world. A quote that Newton had said about himself shortly before he died was “I do not know what I may appear to the world, but to myself I seem to have only been like a boy playing on the seashore, and diverting myself in now and then finding a smoother pebble or a prettier shell than ordinary when the great ocean of truth lay all undiscovered before me”

Time line Birth: December 25, : Newton enrolled in Grantham Grammar School 1661: Newton enrolls In Trinity college, Cambridge July 1662: Royal Society founded
