Newton’s life  Isaac Newton was born on December 25,  He was a Scientist and Mathematician, 1642 –  He entered Cambridge University in  Newton died in London on March 2o  Father: Isaac Newton (local yeoman). Died three months before his son birth.  Mother: Hannah Ayscough.  Sir Isaac Newton never married.

 Sir Isaac Newton has been voted the greatest Cantabrigian of all times by students at Cambridge University.

ALCHEMY AND CHEMISTRY  Newton left a mass of manuscripts on the subjects of alchemy and chemistry, then closely related topics.  He began intensive experimentation in 1669, continuing till he left Cambridge.  He sought understanding of the nature and structure of all matter, formed from the "solid, massy, hard, impenetrable, movable particles" that he believed God had created.

Newtons second discovery His second discovery was about light and the properties of light. He spent months in a darkened room doing experiments. He passed a beam of sunlight through a prism and discovered that the beam of light was broken down into different colors.

Newtons third discovery  Newton's third great discovery was in the field of math when he developed a kind of math we call calculus.  He was just 24 years old at the time.  However, he did not publish his findings for about 20 years, and by then someone else had figured out the same thing.
