VIAF introduction A multinational collaboration: joint project between OCLC, the Deutsche Nationalbibliothek, the Bibliothèque nationale de France and the Library of Congress and contributing National Libraries Goal: to virtually combine the name authority files from institutions across the globe into a single name authority service. 2
